RedotPay Delays IPO Amid $473 Million Binance Lawsuit

A $473 million legal battle with Binance affiliates has forced Hong Kong-based stablecoin processor RedotPay to stall its anticipated US initial public offering. Despite the setback, the firm secured a US money transmitter license this week, signaling a continued push into the American market despite mounting regulatory and judicial headwinds.

RedotPay Delays IPO Amid $473 Million Binance Lawsuit

The Hong Kong startup, which previously targeted a multi-billion dollar valuation, is navigating a complex transition from rapid-growth unicorn to a public entity. Bloomberg reported on Aug. 14 that the IPO timeline has been pushed back as the company addresses allegations that its founders leveraged confidential data from their former employer, Binance, to build a competing platform. RedotPay has formally rejected these claims, vowing to defend its position in court.

While the legal dispute persists in both Hong Kong and Singapore, the firm is prioritizing its operational footprint. The recent acquisition of a US money transmitter license serves as a critical milestone for its expansion, following successful product launches in regions like Brazil. Although the company reported record-breaking users and profit margins in its Q2 2026 update, it remains silent on the status of its partnership with underwriters JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, and Jefferies. The path forward for the IPO remains contingent on resolving the Binance litigation and securing final regulatory clearances.
