Proscia serves as a central operating layer for digital pathology, supporting a network of over 4,000 laboratories, hospitals, and clinics. Its client base also includes 16 of the world's 20 largest pharmaceutical companies. The firm reported trailing 12-month revenue exceeding $12 million.
The two companies are already familiar partners, having entered a distribution agreement in 2022 to develop a comprehensive digital diagnostic-pathology system. This acquisition follows Agilent’s $950 million purchase of Biocare Medical in June, signaling a broader strategy to consolidate its footprint in the pathology sector. The Proscia transaction is expected to close next year.
