Wade Davis Takes Helm at Clear Channel Following $6.2 Billion Buyout

Davis, the founder of media investment firm ForgeLight, brings a track record of large-scale consolidation to his new role. He previously orchestrated the 2022 merger between Univision and Grupo Televisa, creating the world’s largest Spanish-language media entity. Alongside his appointment as chief executive, Davis joins the company’s board as executive chair.

John Halley, formerly the president of advertising at Paramount Global, joins the executive team as chief commercial officer. These appointments coincide with the formal completion of the Mubadala Capital deal, which officially takes the firm private and ends Scott Wells’ tenure as both CEO and board member.
