FOMO Counters Pump.fun with Sub-Second Cross-Chain Trading Bridge

Less than 24 hours after competitor Pump.fun debuted its own bridge infrastructure, social trading platform FOMO has launched a proprietary cross-chain router promising transaction completion in under one second. The move signals an intensifying arms race between the platforms to dominate high-frequency crypto trading through speed and execution efficiency.

The new system transitions FOMO away from reliance on third-party providers like Relay, granting the platform direct control over pricing, indexing, and routing. Co-founder Se Yong Park stated the development was born from technical bottlenecks observed during peak activity on the Robinhood Chain, where FOMO accounted for over half of all active trading wallets. CEO Paul Erlanger noted the infrastructure underwent a week of limited internal testing to ensure stability before the public rollout.

FOMO claims its internal routing improves average execution prices by 0.5%, with significantly higher gains for trades typically subject to slippage. While the company asserts it handles ten times the volume of its rivals, these figures remain internally reported without independent verification. The technical landscape remains opaque, as both FOMO and Pump.fun have yet to disclose the specific liquidity providers or security protocols backing their respective bridges. Without public audits or transparent data on custody arrangements, the actual risk profiles of these high-speed systems remain unverified for the broader user base.
