The company repurchased 2,068,459 STRC shares at an average price of approximately $99.06, capitalizing on a trading value that sat slightly below the $100 stated amount. Executive chairman Michael Saylor confirmed the firm now holds $5.1 billion in USD assets, split between a $4.83 billion designated reserve and $242.4 million in liquid cash. This cash balance reflects a sharp 45.8% decline from the previous week, directly resulting from the accelerated buyback activity.
Management’s current strategy prioritizes these repurchases to mitigate future annual dividend obligations, which currently track at a 12% variable rate. While Bitcoin acquisitions have slowed significantly, the firm maintains a robust 848,517 BTC position. Over the past three reporting periods, the company has deployed $590.4 million toward STRC buybacks, dwarfing the $43.6 million invested in Bitcoin during the same timeframe. Following these transactions, the remaining capacity for preferred-stock repurchases stands at $956.8 million, supported by an expanded $3 billion authorization.
