The company’s latest financial disclosure reveals that revenue climbed to 1.95 trillion yen, up from 1.75 trillion yen in 2025. However, this top-line expansion failed to offset significant operational deficits. Chubu Electric recorded an operating loss of 78.05 billion yen, a stark departure from the 145.54 billion yen operating profit achieved in the prior year.
Pretax profit also took a substantial hit, sliding to 41.05 billion yen from 196.30 billion yen. These results, calculated under Japanese accounting standards, translate to a per-share loss of 371.25 yen, compared to the previous year's earnings of 220.28 yen per share.
