The Japanese pharmaceutical firm saw its bottom line weighed down by a decline in operating profit, which dropped to 22 million yen from 32 million yen. Pretax profit also followed a downward trajectory, sliding to 25 million yen compared to 41 million yen in the previous year. Despite the earnings pressure, revenue showed marginal growth, reaching 3.36 billion yen against 3.32 billion yen recorded last year.
Earnings per share for the period stood at 0.96 yen, down from 2.66 yen. Reflecting a commitment to shareholder returns despite the softer performance, the company maintained its midyear dividend at 2.50 yen per share. The projected annual dividend remains unchanged at 5.00 yen, consistent with the previous fiscal cycle. These figures were prepared in accordance with Japanese accounting standards.
