Reliance Industries will manage the construction, utility operations, and network connectivity for the site, which is expected to come online within two years. The project serves as a cornerstone of Reliance's broader effort to develop a massive data-center campus in the region, bolstered by the area’s existing infrastructure and a commitment to renewable energy sources. While the financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed, the move underscores Meta's strategy to scale its global capacity.

Simultaneously, Meta is diversifying its energy portfolio to support these operations, contracting nearly one gigawatt of new solar and wind power through agreements with CleanMax and Fourth Partner Energy. Following the announcement, Reliance Industries shares rose by 2% in Wednesday trading, reflecting investor optimism regarding the company's role in hosting global AI infrastructure. Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance, described the partnership as a transformative milestone for India’s digital readiness.
