Meta and Reliance Partner for AI Data Center in Gujarat

Reliance Industries will manage the construction, utility operations, and network connectivity for the site, which is expected to come online within two years. Simultaneously, Meta is diversifying its energy portfolio to support these operations, contracting nearly one gigawatt of new solar and wind power through agreements with CleanMax and Fourth Partner Energy. Following the announcement, Reliance Industries shares rose by 2% in Wednesday trading, reflecting investor optimism regarding the company's role in hosting global AI infrastructure. Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance, described the partnership as a transformative milestone for India’s digital readiness.
