The Brazilian Civil Aviation Authority confirmed that state-owned Infraero will relinquish its interest in Inframerica, the current administrator of Brasilia Airport. This divestment is tied to a broader renegotiation of the airport’s concession terms, which now encompasses 10 additional regional airports and mandates further capital investment into the Brasilia facility.
Brazil's federal court has ordered a competitive public tender for the total equity of Inframerica, with the process slated to conclude by December. Should no external bids materialize during the auction, the amended concession will be granted automatically to Corporacion America Airports, which currently holds a 51% stake in the subsidiary.
