The capital infusion is earmarked primarily for the advancement of OMS1620, the company’s lead drug candidate. OMass intends to push the therapy through a midstage clinical trial targeting congenital adrenal hyperplasia, while simultaneously building out clinical datasets for its broader early-stage pipeline. Existing backers also contributed to the round, joined by new participants including Janus Henderson Investors, SV Health Investors, and Jefferson Life Sciences.
Governance shifts accompany the financial boost. Evan Greif of Bain Capital Life Sciences and Forbion’s Audrey Cacaly are joining the board of directors. Additionally, Max Klement of Novo Holdings—which maintains a controlling stake in the pharmaceutical giant Novo Nordisk—and Ali Jazayeri of SV Health Investors will serve as board observers.
