The deal formalizes a letter of intent signed in December 2025, committing Deep Fission to provide power for the Great Plains Industrial Park once the facility clears regulatory hurdles. Under the arrangement, the Development Authority retains the right to assign electricity purchase obligations to specific industrial tenants, though the contract imposes no minimum purchase requirements on the authority itself.
Deep Fission aims to scale the site significantly beyond the initial phase, with plans to expand capacity to 2,000 MW as demand from park tenants grows. Despite the market’s positive reaction, the stock remains under pressure, having shed 62% of its value over the past three months before reaching $3.88 in morning trading.
