Michael Saylor Fuels Speculation With Closed-Door Bitcoin Tease

Michael Saylor has ignited market curiosity with a cryptic social media post claiming to be resolving Bitcoin matters behind closed doors. This follows a period where Strategy consistently utilized common-share sales to finance its aggressive acquisition of 517 BTC, totaling $43.6 million in expenditures over the last two weeks.

The executive’s message, accompanied by a stylized video, arrives ahead of the company's typical Monday disclosure cycle. While past posts from Saylor have often preceded official purchase announcements, this latest update lacks specific transaction dates or financial commitments. Recent filings confirm the company now holds 848,517 BTC, acquired at an average cost of $75,446, further solidifying its position as a primary corporate accumulator.

Funding for these acquisitions has shifted toward common-share sales, which accounted for approximately 98.6% of recent Bitcoin spending. Simultaneously, the firm has been actively managing its STRC preferred stock. Between October 5 and October 18, Strategy executed $385.5 million in STRC repurchases, a figure roughly 8.8 times larger than the capital deployed for Bitcoin. The company maintains distinct liquidity pools, separating general-purpose cash for digital assets from the reserve funds allocated to preferred dividends and debt obligations.
